Call for poster and paper abstracts – submission details
We kindly invite all health professionals to participate and present their experiences and their knowledge in a poster or paper at the 1st International Meeting on Sexual and Reproductive Health. Please note that only abstracts that meet the guidelines outlined below will be considered for presentation.

Abstract selection
The International Meeting Scientific Committee will select among submitted abstracts for poster exhibition and paper presentation. All accepted abstracts will be included in the proceedings of the Meeting. The authors will be notified on the success of their application by email by October 4th 2017.
Guidelines for abstracts
Abstract length is limited to a maximum of 350 words. An abstract must be complete in all its parts and include the following:
- Title: Please avoid abbreviations. Abbreviations may be used in the text if they are defined when used first. The authors’ names (first name, surname) and affiliation (institution, city, country) should be given. Degrees, titles, street addresses should be omitted.
- Introduction/Background
- Objectives and/or hypotheses
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements and a conflict of interest disclosure statement. These must be indicated at the bottom of the abstract. A conflict of interest exists if authors or their institutions have financial or personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their actions. Significant conflicts of interest include financial benefits, subsidies or support for research, employment, a consultancy contract, large shareholdings or work in a public relations department.
References, if any, need to be included in the text – not a footnote.
Formatting
- Font size should be 11-point. Font should be Arial. Text should be 1,5 spaced.
- Use only a single space between sentences.
- Do not use bold face for emphasis within text.
- Except in figures and tables, numbers one to ten should be written out unless they are used as a unit of measure.
- Do not use tabs or indents to start a paragraph.

Guidelines for the Preparation of the Presentation of Free Communications
Presentation of Free Communications:
If you use a PowerPoint presentation, please bring it in CD, DVD or a USB flash drive (using the USB port on the computer) and load it to the computer at the Audiovisual desk at the top of the Auditorium, at least one hour before the start of the session.
If you insert video movies into PowerPoint, check the presentation in the auditorium during a coffee break or lunch break before your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
Guidelines for Preparing the Poster Presentation
Each presenter should prepare their poster according to the guidelines and send it in digital format until October 10.
You are invited to stand by the electronic monitor where your Poster is displayed for informal discussion, during the coffee breaks and on the Poster presentation day.
Rules for Submission of Presentations
All proposals must be submitted online in accordance with the Template of Meeting website (General Standards of presentation of texts). The version of the abstract to be evaluated must be recorded in PDF. However the final version for publication should be written in DOC or DOCX format.
The proposals will be analyzed by the Scientific Committee. If they are accepted for presentation, the authors should send the final version of the text for publication (incorporating the recommendations considered by the Scientific Committee of Meeting).
The text of articles must be original and must not be or have been published or be under review or presented at any other meeting prior the Conference. Abstracts should be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English. It is mandatory that the article summary is in two languages, one of them in English.
